Kairos Architecture has over 20 years experience working on a plethora of projects from all sectors bringing dreams to reality. Our knowledgeable team and associates are passionate and easy to work with. We have a great network of Specialists we can recommend covering Cornwall, Devon, Cardiff & Somerset. We pride ourselves in looking after our clients and make sure to help and support every step of the way.

  • Philip Carlin

    BSc, FdSc
    Director | Lead Technician

    The past 14 years have unfolded as a remarkable architectural journey, one that has afforded me a wealth of experience straddling the worlds of both architecture and construction.

    As I embarked on starting my own architectural practice, Kairos Architecture, the very essence of our name, “a defining moment in time,” became the heart and soul of our mission. At our core, we embrace the motto, “your moment in time,” believing that each project is a pivotal moment, a defining endeavour for our cherished clients.

    Drawing from my extensive background in both architecture and construction, I take pride in orchestrating projects with a harmonious rhythm, always keeping the desires and engagement of our clients at the forefront. Among my passions lies a special affinity for the restoration and preservation of historic and heritage properties, a testament to my reverence for their historical significance and the promise they hold for future generations to explore and relish.

    Outside of work, my life has been coloured by a rich tapestry of global travels, immersing myself in diverse cultures to broaden my perspective.

    Additionally, my commitment extends to community engagement through active involvement in my local church and charitable endeavours, where I extend a helping hand both within Cornwall and to those in need overseas.

  • Paul Carlin

    BA(Hons), MArch, PGcert, ARB / Architect
    Director | Lead Architect

    As an Architect with over seven years experience working on large portfolios across America, Asia, throughout Europe and the United Kingdom, the majority of my experience has been gained from a wide range of sectors from, Master Planning & Residential to International Attractions enjoyed all over the world.

    I enjoy exciting innovative and eccentric projects, and have worked alongside many great stewards of the profession, from which I have also gained a wide variety of architectural skills. This has enabled me the ability of applying my experience to both small and large projects that Kairos delivers.

    I take particular interest in how we all connect to the world around us via our senses and how this can affect our perceptions and how we interact with our environment. I believe it is imperative to create an enjoyable and bespoke journey for each client, taking design from its conceptual state to being built and finally completed.

    In my spare time I enjoy a round of golf along with watching the Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park.

Social Consciense

Kairos Architecture is much more than just the next design or next achievement

We donate and work with charities all over the world to help change the lives that are most vulnerable both here in Cornwall, UK and abroad. Our team are encouraged to help where there is a need and over the years we have worked with Charities such as Cornwall Aid Center to provide necessary funding and help distributing necessary aid in the community as well as supporting orphanages in Ukraine and working with aid groups in Romania.

To help make a change we have made a decision to join the small but growing list of business in Cornwall to donate a minimum of 10% of all our fees to charity to help where there is a need.
